On July 24th, 2021, the Abel Mengistab Memorial Foundation held its inaugural virtual event, the Abel Mengistab Memorial Event, where we commemorated Abel’s life, highlighted the initiatives of the foundation, and presented the first ever recipients of the Abel Mengistab Memorial Award. During our event, we spotlighted one of the causes Abel believed in and made a donation on his behalf, shared a video of Abel’s greatest memories and messages from friends.
